The Board of Governor's Fee Waiver (BOGFW) is available to California residents who meet specific income eligibility requirements. The program waives the Enrollment Fee and reduces the Parking Permit Fee. The Health and Student Center fees are also waived for students who qualify under Method A below. The BOGFW will be in effect for the academic year (Summer, Fall and Spring terms). There are no minimum or maximum unit requirements.
Southwestern College will use the results of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or California Dream Application to determine student eligibility for the BOGFW and will automatically award those students who are eligible and who have registered for classes. Students who have not completed either of these applications must fill out the BOGFW application if they want to see if they are eligible. Applicants must be a California Resident as determined by the registrar’s office.
