Since 1961, Southwestern College has offered both men's and women's intercollegiate sports.  Thefield house college has held a proud tradition of serving the southbay community.  Our primary goal is to afford our student athletes with a great experience of academic rigor and exciting sport competitions.

The college is currently expanding its facilities to include a state-of-the-art Field House that will bring an amphitheater, classrooms w/ a lecture hall, locker room and a modernization of the fields throughout the campus.

The new Field House is scheduled to open in May/June 2014.

GBGabrielle Beasley helped the Jags go 5-1 winning the 36th annual Goldenwest College Softball Tournament. The Jags started the week losing to SD Mesa 1-3, Then had 5 wins in a row beating Pasadena College 4-0, Santa Barbara College 6-5, Foothill College 7-0, Grossmont College 7-2, and Chaffey College 4-2. Beasley pitched 5 of the 6 games going 4-1. In 31 innings pitched Beasley had 33 K's and only gave up 4 earned runs for an ERA of 0.85 for the week.

Offensively for the week Beasley was 10 for 19 for a BA of .526 with 2 triples and 4 RBI's and 1 stolen base. On the season Beasley is hitting .467 with 24 RBI and slugging .763, Beasley's season record is 9-5 with an ERA of just 1.51. She leads the PCAC in strikeouts with 88 in 81 innings pitched.
