THIS SUMMER BE A CALIFORNIA JUNIOR LIFEGUARD!
CCAC partner, California State Parks, offers their summer Jr Lifeguard Training Program at Silver Strand State Beach, a program to train future core of certified lifeguards in support of beach and bay operations. The program is run twice each summer; each session is a 4-week program open to boys and girls ages 9-16.
Students learn all about the ocean, including waves, tides, currents, marine life, beach hazards, beach etiquette and beach safety. Training includes surf rescue, first aid and CPR lifesaving methods. (Non-Certificated)
This enormously popular program provides sun, surf, games, competitions, swim conditioning, surfing, body boarding, body-surfing, skin diving and exercise to the Jr. Lifeguard participant.
