Fitness Center

FitnessThe Athletic department has always taken pride in being a reputable stepping stone for athletes trying to improve their abilities in order to move on to a higher level of college or professional competition.

The Southwestern Fitness Education Center is a state of the art gym equipped with Life Fitness cardiovascular equipment and Nautilus Selectorized strength equipment as well as a selection of free weights. Fitness and sport training programs are developed by coaches and certified instructors.

The Fitness Education Center is utilized by both athletes and the general student population in a class format.

 



Weight Room

Weight RoomThe Jaguar athletic weight room is fully equipped for both strength and power training, to include: bench, cleans, squats, incline, dead lifts, jumps, jerks and dumbbell lifting. In addition to lifting, the Jaguar staff provides comprehensive speed, power, agility and quickness training throughout the year to maximize an individuals potential.

This combination of strength, power, speed and quickness is carefully monitored and recorded at different intervals during the year. Specific attention is placed on attaining peak conditioning at the onset of the specific sport.

The expectations of our staff is for each student athlete to respect, support and work with one another to achieve an optimal level of intensity.
