Southwestern College ranks among the highest in the nation in granting associate degrees to minority students, according to Diverse Issues in Higher Education Magazine.

In releasing its list of top 100 degree producers, the magazine outlined Southwestern College student success, especially in earning associate degrees in nursing, accounting and public administration.

Hispanics earning accounting degrees increased by 63% in 11-12, pushing Southwestern College to No. 9 in the nation. In earning degrees in nursing, all minorities earned a 91% graduation rate, ranking Southwestern College 17 in the country.
