MESA is an academic enrichment program that supports economically disadvantaged students, including students from groups with low rates of college eligibility, to prepare for and excel in math, engineering and science majors and attain Bachelor’s of Science degrees from four-year institutions.

To apply to the MESA Program, scan the QR Code below and download the PDF copy of the MESA Application to your desktop so that it can be filled out electronically. Once downloaded, make sure you open in a current version of Adobe Reader so that the form functions properly. Once completed, please print, sign and return the hard copy to the MESA Center (room 396) with the following documents:

• Financial Aid Award Letter (FAFSA or BOGFW)
• Student Education Plan (SEP)
• Semester-by-Semester Plan
• Transcripts (unofficial OK)
• Registration Statement
• Résumé

SD MESA Alliance


San Diego MESA Alliance (SDMA)

The San Diego MESA Alliance (SDMA), established in 2000, is a statewide model for intersegmental regional collaboration in mathematics, engineering and science education for economically disadvantaged and underrepresented student populations.

Alliance members include MESA programs from:
Pre College:
     - Imperial Valley
     - San Diego State University (through San Diego MESA Schools Program)

Community Colleges:
     - San Diego City College
     - Southwestern Community College

     - San Diego State University

The Alliance mission is to have a collaborative effort in enhancing the pipeline of MESA programs in San Diego County. The Alliance goals are to establish best practices, strategic partnerships, effective coordination of services and development of core curriculum for MESA programs.
