Alba Constenla Torrado, Ph.D.

Alba Constenla is an Assistant Professor of Spanish in the School Languages, Literature & Humanities at Southwestern College.

Alba was born and raised in Galicia (Spain). She moved to the United States in 2014, where she completed her Ph.D. at the University of California, Santa Barbara (2020); and her M.A. at the University of Kansas (2016).

Alba currently teaches undergraduate topics in Hispanic literature and culture, and Spanish for bilingual/heritage speakers.
